I wore this for the first time to a banquet at which I was being honored with an award. As I was walking in, the wind was blowing in my direction. It blew my tie into my face. "But wait!" I thought, "I have a tie tack!"The force of that one strong breeze had snapped the chain in half. I had to go to the bathroom immediately to find the anchor, which had fallen inside my shirt.Super annoying! If you get this, I'd think about replacing the chain immediately. That's what I'll have to do, now. The included one does not hold up. And for the price, I definitely expected a more durable product. It still looked nice throughout the evening, but it didn't perform in the important duty. Keeping my tie down.

This is a very cool way to sneak some nerdwear into full suit and tie. Rated it down some because of how big and heavy it is. It is 3 times the surface area and 2 times the weight of a typical tie tack I have. Part of wearing something like this is to be subtle, which this tack is certainly not.

This is low-key enough to wear even in a profesional setting, although it doesn't bear close inspection as a "fine" piece of jewelry It's a little heavy and stretch one of my more loosely woven ties. Overall very nice, though.

By its very existence this a completely awesome product, but for the price tag it looks and feels less substantial in real life than I expected. Also, even as a big Venture Brothers fan I don't know that I would easily spot the difference between it and any other heraldry coat of arms type thing. I'm happy I own it, but I would've been much happier at about $10 less.
