If you're not already a Venture fan, then discover the show that makes fan boys into fan men. Dr. Venture is proof that tagging along with a scientist adventurer father on dangerous missions doesn't quite prepare a child for adulthood. Still, you do what you know, so he repeats the mistakes of his father with the added elements of dispiriting cynicism and ineptitude as he drags his wholly unprepared sons Hank and Dean and his enormous bodyguard Brock along for adventures that would make Race Bannon piss himself.

Comments about The Venture Bros. Season One:
I watch and rewatch all of the episodes of the dvd's and laugh every time.
The writers for this show are pure genius. I can watch the same episode more than once and find new things that make me laugh every time. Love all the characters. Love the writing. This show is perfect.
Just outragously humorous if you are a 40 something advid saturday mourning cartoon whatcher from your youth. A great way to tribute the strange cartoons that became popular. I find a notion of my adolescence's, in almost every episode. Thank You!

Would have been even funnier if it wasn't censored!
This DVD is chock full of good times. I was a little sad that inside the case there was an advert and no sticker.

I will pay any amount of money, blood or tears to be a part of this, the meaning of life.
I love everything about VB however, the sticker on the cover says "UNSENCORED" but it totally was censored! Season 2 was also. Season 3 was NOT.
i love the season and the dvd extras are real cool too!
Funny and entertaining, but Season 1 went too quickly for me. I wish it was longer!
Icarus"The Venture Bros.: Mid-Life Chrysalis (#1.8)" (2004)O.S.I. Instructor: Well, let's see here, Mr. Samson. On the driving portion, you totalled every car but the one you were driving; on the pistol range, you refused to use a gun. And, uh, oh. Hah! Yeah, here's my favorite: on the written, you drew a little guy with wings from the Led Zeppelin records. Brock Samson: Icarus. So uh... what are you trying to tell me here, little man? That you don't like Zep?Priceless.
